The Difference Between Praise and Worship

Notes taken July 1st, 2007 at Fountain of Grace church in Prattville, Alabama from Pastor Tony Butler's teaching at the evening service.

Praise: Psalm 150.

Worship: John 4:20-24

  • God is looking hard for those who worship in spirit and turth.
  • Praise declares the attributes of God and remembers great deeds God has done. Basically declaring to ourselves how great God is.
  • A person can praise God and not be saved. In order to worship God in spirit and truth one has to be saved
  • It is easy to praise and not truly love, but it is impossible to love God and not praise God

I will hopefully finish posting this soon.
