Speed up Konqueror

From: Speed up Konqueror

Add the following line to /etc/environment:

KDE_NO_IPV6=TRUE

Then restart Konqueror and it should be much faster. :)

Search web pages using find as you type.

Just hit "/" and start typing your search. Hit F3 to go to the next result.

Open URLs in new tabs when calling Konqueror externally

Use a command similar to this:

kfmclient newTab http://www.kde.org

Make images be opened in a separate program instead of embedded in Konqueror

1. Open the KDE Control Center (kcontrol)
2. Go to KDE Components -> File Associations
3. Click on "image" in the list of known types.
4. Under "Left Click Action" chose "Show file in separate viewer"
