What happens when a student submits to more than one project?

Modified: 2007-03-14 11:12:25

I just asked this question in the GSoC IRC channel and according to sussman (A google employee):

if a student gets selected by 2 or more projects, we (google) tend to first consult the projects, and if they can't decide, we then ask the student about his preferences

How I got my second Compaq MV520 monitor working in Ubuntu Fiesty

Modified: 2007-05-11 14:57:58

I followed HowTo: Dual Monitors (Xinerama/TwinView/MergedFB) but I had to set:

Option "UseEdidFreqs" "False"

and ended up with something similar to this:

Section "Device"
	Identifier	"nVidia Corporation GeForce 6500"
	Driver "nvidia"
	BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
Option "TwinView" "True"
Option "TwinViewOrientation" "RightOf"
Option "UseEdidFreqs" "False"
Option "MetaModes" "1024x768,1024x768"
Option "UseDisplayDevice" "DFP" #replace 'string' with either 'DFP' (Digital flat panel connected via DVI port), 'CRT' (any monitor that is connected via VGA ports), or 'TV'
EndSection
